Rivers to Ridges is a network of outdoor recreation sites in northwest Illinois. The network covers sites in three counties bordering the upper Mississippi River: Jo Daviess, Carroll, and Whiteside.
Mississippi River Guide to Recreation
We are the Rock Island District, Mississippi River Project, Recreation and Natural Resource Management Section. Our project encompasses 314 miles on the Mississippi River from Potosi, Wisconsin to Saverton, Missouri. We provide 16 campgrounds, 14 day use facilities, 22 boat ramps, a visitor center and 55,000 acres of forested land.
